Our history
In 1993, in Cameroon, Jean-François Aussillou (co-founder) discovered that the fuel consumption of a single truck within its community varied significantly between drivers. To standardize the use of gasoline, he had the idea to put a spring to reduce the aggressiveness of drivers, but the results were inconclusive.
Over the years, several technologies were developed in order to reduce fuel consumption but the difference in consumption between drivers was still present. Through the years, engine manufacturers have also noticed that the behavior of drivers and their respective consumption could vary up to 30%.
In 2006, the project to create a technology that can control the aggressiveness of drivers by limiting the accelerator pedal signal was born.
In April 2007, RM2J was founded by Mr Jean-François Aussillou Jean Poulin, Mathieu Guerin and Réjean Turmel. The mission: to market a fuel economy system for the transport industry; the FMZ.
Today, the objective of RM2J is to offer an innovative solution, FMZ (Fuel Maximizer), to increase eco-responsible drivers. The FMZ solution is a completely independent electronic device used to effectively manage the available power of a truck based on its net charge transported.
